this is not a back-to-school post
Youngest started back in Year 10.Yay. Eldest doesn't start university until March 4. I am really looking forward to having my Thursdays and Fridays home alone once more, as I haven't been home alone on those days since October. Not that the nearly 19-year-old is a problem. I just like to have the house with only me in it sometimes. No, no mother-of-the-year here.
It is the end of the month and I don't think I've bought anything second-hand except for this jacket ($12) from Savers in Brunswick last week. It's a wool blend and fits beautifully around the arms and shoulders. I'm picturing a brooch on it to fasten it on a cold day.
Speaking of cold, the temperature has dropped and I'm hopeful of some rain later. The garden is parched.
Right now I'm going to make a cup of tea and hopefully finish my latest book ( which is WONDERFUL) while ignoring the dirty upstairs bathroom.

Enjoying being home alone is something we all should have at times. I'm all for it.
ReplyDeleteJacket looks lovely, but just can't even think about long sleeves today, it is soooooooooo humid here.
What book is it this time?
cheers Wendy
just imagined dirty upstairs bathroom peeking around the door trying to catch your attention, perhaps making little farty noises and using the mirror to flash light in your eyes....
