Father Ted?

Quick question - as a long time fan of Black Books and a recent covert to the joy which is The IT crowd - will I love Father Ted?

  1. I don't see any reason why not... they've held up very well and withstand numerous viewings. My favourite is The Plague.

  2. Probably, possibly, if you can get over the seriously squirmy stuff. It's scream aloud, groan aloud stuff and generally so awful it's great. Go for it!

  3. I think my last comment might have disappeared, anyway I'll try again: We adore Father Ted. You will like it. I was even sad when he died (in real life). The bits with Graham Norton are brilliant.
Have you ever seen the Michael Palin series Ripping Yarns?

  4. Kelly I saw Ripping Yarns so many years ago I can't remember how long.... loved it.
I've missed a heap of tv, good, bad and indifferent over the years, especially when the kids were young so I'm catching up on some things that everyone else watched years ago - the library buys heaps of DVDS so I see them at work every day and grab one occasionally.

  5. I do like father Ted but not as much as BB and It crowd,it's a bit dated but there are some hilarious bits, agree with Kelly, the Graham Norton bits are MAD (as he would say!!) My daughter (22) can't watch it as Father Jack grosses her out too much!!!

  6. Good to hear! I think RY should be compulsory viewing. We were made to watch it repeatedly growing up. I was almost giddy when I stumbled across it at the dvd store.
And Debbie- there is a cartoon about pigs on ABC for kids, I can't handle it because I am convinced one of the characters is voiced by Mrs Doyle!
